""My daughter was in grade 4 when her anxiety really took a turn for the worse I took her out of school. She was hysterical everyday by this time. I was desperate. I asked Mary for help. She saw my daughter, once, sometimes twice a week. I was often there, because she had a separation anxiety from me as well. The counselling Mary did was very effective. She spoke on my daughter’s level, so she could understand. There was also compassion and acceptance in Mary's voice and actions. She has had many struggles through this time, yet, the foundations she learned from her original, first counselling from Mary Chow has seemed to be her refuge of strength to pull her through."  - T.S.

"After years of substance abuse that had eventually become less and less controllable, I finally admitted my problem and attended an addictions recovery program focused on biology, psychology and social elements.  One of the requirements for follow-up care after the program was to find a compatible counsellor and participate in therapy sessions to continue the conversations started at the recovery program and deal with relapse or other issues.  Thank goodness I was referred to Mary.  She quickly reviewed my personal situation and identified overlooked, deep-seated issues I have had since childhood. In addition to my personal therapy, my wife and I have seen Mary for couples' counselling.  The transition from substance abuse to a normal existence has been difficult with many exposed raw nerves and frayed emotions.  Mary has aided us in finding common ground to work out our problems. My wife also says she has learned things about herself through these experiences she might never would have otherwise." "I began working with Mary in March (2010) this year.  I came because I was struggling with uncontrolable anxiety about going to work, low self-esteem, childhood trauma, lack-of-purpose in my life, and sever depression.  Mary's approach to my issues was new to me and They worked! I am back at work and no longer depressed.  I have new skills for dealing with my anxiety and I am no longer trapped by the things in my past.  Thank you Mary.  You have guided me in changing my life so that now I have a life I want to be living." " After more than twenty years of marriage, issues surfaced that threatened to destroy our relationship.  We started seeing Mary and she gave us the tools to work through our difficulties and strengthen our communication skills.  We have achieved a new and deeper level of intimacy.  We are now free to develop our own personal strengths and to explore new activities to share. Mary makes sure that you do not become dependent upon her but that you work toward the goal of acquiring the tools needed to work through issues.  We cannot thank Mary enough and we have no hesitation in recommending her. " My 9 year old son was angry and acting out at school because of a distant relationship with his father after our divorce. Mary worked with him with different forms of play and did  short periods of eye therapy also. Teachers and relatives could not believe the difference in him. He felt so much better. I began therapy too and we are now all getting along much better."  anon
